What doesA2 Wine & Things do?
Communication
with insight
A2 Wine & Things writes and speaks with passion and professionalism – and helps others do the same: Brand-appropriate, audience-focused, credible, engaging, fact-based, and filled with stories that stick. This is how communication strategies are created that entertain their audiences – and bring success to those who send them.
A2 Wine & Things knows the German-speaking market inside and out – and shares that knowledge. From “How do I serve wine?” to “How can I increase my sales?”, the range of formats is broad: trainings, workshops, masterclasses, moderations, and keynotes – in short: everything that helps producers, retailers, hospitality professionals, and consumers gain (wine) knowledge that makes a difference.

Journalism
with competence
A2 Wine & Things observes, researches, analyzes, interviews, writes (in print and online), podcasts, moderates, edits, and comments — usually with a focus on the most exciting drink in the world, but not always stopping at the rim of the wine glass.
A2 Wine & Things knows how to take the big stage – and we’re not talking about the lighting. What really matters are the right ideas and strong content. Whether it’s a tasting event for wine lovers, a team retreat, or a major industry congress for the most influential stakeholders – A2 Wine & Things delivers tailor-made concepts that hit the mark.

Strategies
for tomorrow
A2 Wine & Things thinks ahead – because today’s challenges can only be solved with ideas for tomorrow. That’s how businesses benefit, whether they’re retailers, importers, producers – as do regions, associations, and ultimately the wine industry as a whole. Together, we help secure the sales of the future.
Who isA2 Wine & Things?
A2 Wine & Things is driven by two minds: Alexandra Wrann and Anja Zimmer. One is a journalist, the other a lawyer — but those are just the polished labels. Look closer, and you’ll find two passionate wine professionals, communication strategists, and solution-oriented thinkers with broad experience and a strong cross-industry network.
Alexandra Wrann is a trained science journalist, certified Wine Academic and WSET Diploma holder, as well as an experienced sommelier and restaurant manager. That’s why she loves facts and figures — and just as much, wine.
As former Editor-in-Chief of Weinwirtschaft, Germany’s leading trade magazine for wine, she knows the market inside out. She looks beyond the surface, understands consumer expectations and the challenges facing producers and marketers — and delivers solutions: creative, communicative, and analytical.
And she professionally tastes wine and writes about it – among others for Falstaff and Weinwisser.
Dr. Anja Zimmer has worked at a top-tier international law firm, lobbied for a telecommunications company, led a journalists’ association, and managed a media regulatory authority. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of the online-only wine magazine Meininger’s International.
Anja analyzes global wine markets, provides practical strategies to reach the new consumer, and supports market entry into Germany. The wine industry needs smarter advocacy. Anja knows the key players, understands how to communicate effectively, and helps give the product the social standing it deserves. She’s the sharp mind who thinks ahead and solves problems before they arise.
